We also offer extended camping adventures to destinations throughout the American Southwest, with our focus being primarily in remote, historic sites. You provide your own vehicle, gear and other necessities. We pick the destinations, choose the campsite, prepare all your meals, and provide historians and local experts to help us learn more about the history of these very remote sites.

From Native American sites, to Old West towns, historic sites and abandoned railroads, we offer a wide selection of locations to camp and explore.

Desert & Mountain Day Tours

Your guide will pick you up at 7AM or 8AM to begin the days adventure. From there you will travel east into San Diego County's amazing and diverse backcountry. You will tour little-known sites and experience the environment, wildlife, and amazing desert and mountain flora.

We will drive approximately 90 minutes to our first destination in the Anza Borrego Desert, and from there we will travel to and explore remote desert backcountry sites. Whether you prefer hiking, photography, rock-hounding, dramatic desert scenery, or just exploring by vehicle, we will tailor the days activities to suit your desires. Or if you would prefer, we offer our pre-planned desert tour, we promise to provide a day of exploring that you won't forget!

This package includes complete transportation, sack lunch and beverages, any applicable fees or permits, and a knowledgeable, experienced guide.
