Birthday Cakes for all ages

After getting birthday cakes for many years, the winner of the "All Gone" award everytime is a particular cake we get at Albertsons. No matter what other kind of cake we have tried over the years, including ice-cream cakes, this is the one that is always "All Gone" everytime.

No matter what design you get on the cake, the "All Gone" award-winning cake is a marble cake (vanilla and chocolate mixed), with fresh strawberries and cream filling, and buttermilk frosting. A quarter-sheet cake runs around $22. It seems to have just the right flavor for almost everyone. Do not expect left-overs.

An alternative, if you need a large cake, is going through Costco bakery. Their cakes are large, good tasting if not a wee bit too sugary, and inexpensive.
